Professional Sound Bath Practitioner Training

We start with what matters most

One carefully structured practical day, focused on the skills, understanding and practice you need to plan and facilitate safe, effective sound bath sessions with confidence from the start

A focused foundation built for practice

We've deliberately focused this training on the things that make the greatest difference to your ability to facilitate well — giving you time to develop practical skills, understand why and how you're using them, and put what you're learning into practice with expert guidance, observation and feedback.

Rather than trying to cover everything, we go deeper where it matters.

The Sound Souls Method™

Effective facilitation is about more than learning how to play the instruments

The Sound Souls Method™ provides a clear framework for facilitating sound baths safely and professionally, while giving you the freedom to develop your own style and creativity within it.

Our practical Blueprint gives you a reliable structure to work from. Underpinning that, we teach you the practical skills needed to work effectively with sound, alongside an understanding of how people may respond to it, relevant physiology, safety, ethics and trauma-informed practice.

And at the heart of the Method is how you show up as a practitioner.

How you communicate, how you respond to the people in front of you, the choices you make and the quality of attention you bring all contribute to the experience you create.

We call this Practitioner Presence, and we teach you why it matters and how to use it effectively.

The Sound Souls Method™ brings these elements together — knowledge, practical skill, safety, structure and Practitioner Presence — giving you a strong foundation and practical Blueprint from which confidence, creativity and intuition develop naturally.

Who joins our Sound Bath Practitioner Training?

People come to this training from many different starting points.

So far, we've welcomed people from a remarkably wide range of backgrounds — including fitness, health and well being, therapy, education, holistic practice and other people-focused professions.

Some already work with people and want to bring sound into what they do.

Others have experienced sound baths themselves and want to understand how to use sound for themselves or create that experience for others.

Some come to us with previous sound training or experience, looking for more structure, greater practical confidence and a deeper knowledge and understanding of their role in shaping the experience.

And some are simply at the beginning of something new.

You don’t need to be musical, own any instruments or have previous experience with sound.

What matters isn’t where you’re starting from.

It’s that you want to learn how to work with sound responsibly, confidently and in a way that feels like your own.

FAQ's

Why is our Sound Bath Practitioner Training one day?

We know some people are initially sceptical about how much can genuinely be learned in one day. Perhaps you've experienced one-day training that didn't live up to expectations, or you've simply been told that sound practitioner training can't be done well in a day.

We understand the scepticism. We also know that not all one-day training is the same.

Rather than trying to cover everything, we've intentionally designed the course to go deeper where it matters — making high-quality sound practitioner training accessible in a one-day format without sacrificing depth, safety or support.

We've deliberately defined the core skills, knowledge and understanding you need to begin facilitating sound baths safely and confidently, and designed the training specifically around developing those.

On successful completion, you'll receive The Sound Souls Sound Bath Practitioner certificate and can begin facilitating your own sound bath sessions straight away.

You don't have to complete further levels before you can start.

Your comprehensive practitioner manual supports the wider underpinning knowledge and continued learning beyond the day, while optional further training allows you to extend your skills and scope of practice over time.

One day isn't the end of your learning. It's the beginning of your practice — with the structure, skills and confidence to begin well.

Do I need any previous experience or my own instruments?

No. You don't need any musical background, any previous experience with sound or your own instruments.

Everything you need for the training is provided, with plenty of opportunity to explore and practise with different instruments throughout the day.

In fact, if you don't currently have instruments, we suggest waiting until after the training before buying your own. Experiencing different sounds and instruments for yourself can help you discover what you're naturally drawn to and make more informed choices about what you actually need.

After the course, you'll receive details of recommended suppliers and guidance on equipment to help you get started. A small selection of instruments personally sourced by Debbie in Nepal is also available to explore and purchase on the day if you wish.

Is the training externally accredited

No. The Sound Souls Sound Bath Practitioner Training is not externally accredited.

We've deliberately chosen this approach. The external accreditations currently available within this field are offered by private membership organisations, where training providers pay to align their course with that organisation and use its accreditation logo.

That does not, in itself, guarantee the quality, depth or professional standard of the training, and external accreditation is not necessarily required to obtain professional insurance.

With more than 30 years of experience delivering professional training, Debbie has chosen to invest in the quality and continued development of the training itself, build on the reputation and feedback it earns from the people who complete it, and work directly with insurers where professional insurance is required.

Our priority is to provide training that is carefully designed, professionally delivered and responsive to developing evidence, professional practice and insurance requirements.

What matters to us is that you leave able to facilitate sound bath sessions safely, effectively and professionally.

Will I be able to get insurance after the training?

Yes. The training has been designed to meet the requirements of major UK fitness and holistic insurers for professional sound bath practice.

The day is built around developing practical skills through supported practice, observation and feedback, with specific criteria so you always know what you're working towards.

This culminates in an individual practical demonstration on the day, giving you the opportunity to bring everything together and demonstrate that you can apply what you've learned safely and effectively.

On doing so, you'll receive our certificate confirming your successful completion, which can be used to support your application for appropriate professional insurance.

Insurance requirements can vary between providers and countries, so we always recommend checking the requirements of your chosen insurer. If you already have insurance and are unsure whether the certificate will meet their requirements, let us know who you're insured with and we'll be happy to confirm this with them.

What do I receive with the training?

Everything you need to take part in the training is provided on the day, including all instruments and equipment.

You'll also receive:

  • Your comprehensive Sound Souls Sound Bath Practitioner Manual — a practical guide to The Sound Souls Method™, including the session blueprint, underpinning knowledge, guidance and practical resources to support you as you begin facilitating.

  • Your uniquely numbered Sound Bath Practitioner certificate, awarded on successful completion of the training and independently verifiable through The Sound Souls.

  • Post-course resources and supplier recommendations to help you choose equipment and continue developing your practice.

  • Ongoing connection with The Sound Souls practitioner community, providing a place to stay connected, ask questions and share experiences after the training, alongside opportunities for optional future training and practitioner events.

What happens after the training?

What happens next is entirely up to you.

Our Sound Bath Practitioner Training is designed to stand alone, giving you a complete foundation to begin facilitating your own sound bath sessions.

You don't need to complete further levels or additional training with us before putting what you've learned into practice.

If you choose to continue developing with The Sound Souls, further training builds on the solid foundation you gain here, allowing you to deepen your existing skills or expand into new ways of working with sound that are relevant to you as your practice develops.

Graduates of this training also receive a preferred rate of £150 on selected Practitioner Development Days, compared with the standard £195 rate.
